My primary research interests and work include mental health and resilience promotion in school communities, school and psychosocial adjustment of at-risk and vulnerable groups of students and families (ie. migrant students, refugee students, Roma students, students with learning and psychosocial difficulties, students and families affected by crisis, economic recession, natural disasters, students from single-parent families, etc), crisis intervention and preparedness, school-based consultation, evidence-based prevention and intervention programs in schools, provision of university-based school psychological services and cross-cultural and transnational issues in school psychology research, training and practice. In the recent years, my research has focused on identification of individual and systemic factors that contribute to student learning, mental health, psychosocial adjustment, resilience and well-being in school, especially during unsettling times.

- 2018 - present Project Leader: Crisis intervention project: Supporting school communities affected by the fires in Eastern Attica. (8 kindergarten & 8 elementary schools)
